Where New Mexico Innovation Comes Together
New Mexico Innovation Advantage
New Mexico Innovation Hub connects the people, places and resources that turn discovery into opportunity.
From our home at Santa Fe Midtown, we bring together entrepreneurs, researchers, companies, investors and partners with the infrastructure, capital, talent and community to commercialize technology, build companies and grow in New Mexico.
A Place to Build
Infrastructure for Innovation
Ideas need somewhere to become real.
At Santa Fe Midtown, NMIH provides companies and innovators access to offices, labs, coworking, fabrication and prototyping, advanced manufacturing, compute infrastructure, training and spaces designed for collaboration.
NMIH is operating today - and building more capacity for what comes next.
Innovation Happens Here
From Discovery to Scale
Research → Commercialize → Build → Fund → Scale
NMIH connects more of the innovation journey in one ecosystem. Researchers find pathways to market. Entrepreneurs find expertise and infrastructure. Companies find talent and space. Investors find opportunities. Partners find a place to collaborate.
The result: fewer gaps between a promising idea and a growing New Mexico company.
Strategic Industries
Where New Mexico Can Lead
NMIH focuses on areas where New Mexico possesses significant scientific, technological and economic-development advantages:
Computing + AI
Quantum
Advanced Energy
Bioscience
Across them all, advanced manufacturing provides the enabling capability to prototype, produce and scale breakthrough technologies.
“The Innovation Hub is creating a sense of belonging for the broader ecosystem. Everyone is welcome. Everyone feels like they belong here.”
— David Perez, CEO and Founder
Inside the Hub
This Is Already Happening
NMIH is not waiting for the future.
Since launching in January 2026, more than 70,000 square feet has been leased to 12 organizations at Santa Fe Midtown, while the Hub has hosted 60+ events bringing together companies, universities, national labs, nonprofits and industry organizations.
Inside the Hub, entrepreneurs are commercializing technology from Los Alamos. Advanced-energy companies are preparing for market. Students are developing advanced manufacturing skills. Founders are raising capital, hiring talent and building companies.
Different technologies.
Different ambitions.
One growing ecosystem.
Meet some of the Companies Building Here
Liberty Fusion
Advanced Energy + Fusion
Commercializing technology born at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Liberty Fusion is developing a path toward zero-carbon fusion energy using its Plasma Liner Experiment technology. Its location at NMIH puts the company close to LANL, technical talent and the emerging advanced-energy ecosystem.
Companies and organizations at Santa Fe Midtown are working across fusion, quantum, advanced computing, advanced energy, prototyping, workforce development and commercialization.
For some, NMIH provides specialized space. For others, proximity to Los Alamos and technical talent. For founders, it provides something harder to manufacture: a community of people building ambitious things alongside them.
Together, these organizations demonstrate what happens when place + people + infrastructure + connection come together.
Bandelier Technologies
Quantum
A quantum sensing and imaging startup using technologies developed at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Bandelier began operations at NMIH after securing more than $2 million in financing and has already built a team of seven professionals.
Prometheon Development Group
Advanced Energy
Prometheon is developing Geovoltaic™ localized power solutions from its base in NMIH’s Benildus building. The company chose the Hub to be part of its growing innovation community and gain greater visibility with investors and industry stakeholders as it moves toward commercialization.
Slazer AI
Computing + AI
Slazer AI is commercializing Los Alamos National Laboratory algorithms to bring next-generation accuracy to real-estate valuation. Founder Nick Salazar is building the company in his hometown of Santa Fe—with the ambition to create jobs here as it grows.
New Collar Network Fab Lab
Advanced Manufacturing + Workforce
New Collar Network combines prototype development with workforce training, building digital and technical skills for careers that do not necessarily require a four-year degree—and helping create the technicians and makers New Mexico’s growing technology companies need.
Santa Fe Community College + Mosaica
Education + Workforce
SFCC and Mosaica are working with NMIH to expand workforce development and training at the Hub, including an advanced machining lab and programs connecting students with startup activity, immersive learning and career pathways to employers.
New Mexico Climate Investment Center
Non Profit
The New Mexico Climate Investment Center addresses climate change by investing in New Mexico projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, climate impacts, and energy cost burdens, prioritizing underserved communities.
